3/25/07 - Sonny has been adopted.

3/21/07 - I am so thrilled that Sonny has found a forever family.  He will be going home this weekend.  Sonny is such a good boy and I'm sure he will bring his new family years of love and happiness.  He is such a love and a great companion.  I wish him and his new mom and dad all the best.

3/20/07 - Sonny is pending adoption

3/14/07 - Sonny continues to do very well in his foster home.  He will make a great dog for someone.  He is such a kisser and a snuggler.  Sonny enjoys walks and rides in the car and he does well with both.  He does not pull at all on his walks.  I have not seen any dominant behaviors toward people or other animals.  He has been so friendly to everyone he meets.  Sonny wrestles around with my boxers and enjoys a good game of tug a war.  He is very gentle with children.  He has been playing more everyday.  No destructive behaviors have been noticed. Sonny does need to put on a bit of weight and I am sure he will here because he's been eating like a horse.  Please get those apps in and let's get this beautiful boy into his forever home.  I guarantee he will steal your heart.

3/12/07 - Welcome Sonny to the Angels Rescue.  He is a beautiful boxer specimen. This boy is the best dog I've ever had in a car.  He sat perfectly still the whole 2 hour trip from Elmira to my house.  He would be the perfect "take me everywhere dog".  Sonny is very lovable and needs to be by humans all the time.  He is a lap dog and the best snuggler I've had to date.  Sonny walks very nice on a leash.  He met my other 3 boxers and didn't seem to mind their presence.  All 4 dogs are getting along fine except for some normal squabbles over bones.  This was easily corrected by a firm " NO". He seems to know basic commands like sit, down, and come.  My children spent some time in the yard with Sonny today and he chased them around.  I swear he looked as if he was smiling.  He was prancing around with his head high and his little stub up in the air.  I put him in the crate for an hour while I was gone today and he went right in and went to sleep.  I gave him free run of the house the rest of the day without any problems.  I have not noticed any dominant behavior thus far except for when he tried to mount my female.  She put him in his place once and he hasn't attempted it since.  Now Sonny knows who rules the house.  I think Sonny would do well by himself or with a fur friend. He would also make a great pet for either a family or a single person, as long as they are willing to spend time with him.  He craves attention.  Sonny has not had any accidents in the house as of yet.  HE is such a good boy. Get those apps in for a great companion.  Sonny will follow  you to the ends of the earth.
